2022 is the Year of Rest and Acceleration

  Introduction: 2022 is the Year of Rest and Acceleration This year, 2022, God has even more beautiful and exciting days for us. Every year, the Lord gives our church a theme—a word in season for us to focus on—so that we are aware of what He is doing in that year. As we see Him bring the theme to fruition during the year, we are always encouraged in knowing He is in control no matter what happens, and we are assured as we continue on the path He has called us on. For example, at the beginning of 2020, God gave us the theme that He is “the Lord of Time and Space.” We saw this unfold in an unprecedented way later in the year when COVID-19 hit the world in a big way, church services went online, and the gospel transcended time and space to reach many precious lives all around the globe. Whenever God gives us the theme of the year, which is a prophetic word for our future, He always fills our hearts with hope. favour will take what was meant by man for evil and turn it to make it work for your good.

 Dear Friend, Christmas is the moment of reminder that ”favour doesn’t always feel like favour,” a wise sage once said.   In fact, favour has a knack for making one feel like hell just started its ravenous rampage.   So this Christmas and always, I urge you to remember that favour is a particular presence (not a feeling) that has more to do with your future than with your past; more to do with the promise of God, than it does with the plight of man; it has more to do with the purpose of The LORD, than the plotting and scheming of men.  I believe that favour, in spite of the twists and turns of life, will sometimes put the favoured in a pit, but the same favour will also eventually take the favoured to the palace of the fulfilment of God’s promised purpose.  Without the pit ~ there is seldom no access to the throne in the palace till we first learn to reign during the time done in the pit.  Favour might bring her trouble but she always also brings ...

  After many years of living in the dark unseen, feeding on the sap of tree roots deep within the soil, the cicada emerges out of the ground.   It climbs the tree it has fed from and crawls out of its shell. It spreads its wings—now free to fly, sing and find a mate. [1] Climb out of that Shell! It is time to shed the inhibitions and limitations of the past. And for you, that may be for further growth—or it may be a time that you need to emerge into your true identity. Others animals shed their  skin  to make room for growth. As the time draws near for a snake to shed, its outer layer of skin becomes dull in color. The old skin is dry, uncomfortable, and irritating. Underneath, a bright new layer of skin is becoming ready. It is time to let go of past information about who you are. It is time to get out of the comfort zone of how history has defined you to be. 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐦𝐲 𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐥 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠

 "Our Lord is near to us. He is our King. I think the song, up to the point of the bridge, sets up an expectation that it’s impossible to please God without faith, juxtaposing the sounds we hear with the sounds the Lord hears. We hear Him entering the room and, from the sound of our praises, He hears our faith. 𝐎𝐮𝐫 𝐟𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐇𝐢𝐦. 𝐇𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐭. The song's chorus is giving every believer the reminder we repeatedly hear in the Psalms, “𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐦𝐲 𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐥 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠.” It’s a reminder to open our mouths. What we sing and speak out loud, our soul hears. One of the reasons we fast, as believers, is that we remind our body who is in charge. My spirit is yielded to the Lord.
